The Army Provides Training in Law Enforcement That Matters!

The military can provide you with the skills and training you need to pursue a civilian career in law enforcement. The US Navy and the National Guard provide both formal schooling and on-the-job training to teach you law enforcement techniques. This training can help you get a civilian job after you leave the military or provide you college credits to help you pursue a college degree.

Law Enforcement in the US Navy

Naval law enforcement officers provide security services either on Naval ships or on-shore facilities.  Your duties may include enforcing regulations and maintaining discipline, training others in security or patrol duties, conduct preliminary criminal investigations or operating prison facilities. You may also help provide security for an official’s visit or become a handler for the working dogs which detect drugs or explosives. Want more information on law enforcement in the Navy? Your Military Police training will include basic training, advanced individual training and on-the-job instruction in police methods. You may also go on to training to become a Criminal Investigations Special Agent; these agents handle any crimes committed on Army or National Guard property or crimes which involve National Guard personnel. This training will teach you investigative procedures and crime scene investigations. Click here if you’re ready to take the first steps into your new career!
