When you work as an aviation officer in the US Army, you fulfill a critical role. You will be providing support for troops as well as providing transportation. Training
To become an Army Aviation officer, you will have to undergo extensive training. Your training will start with basic flight skills. You will then go on to specialize in one of the main helicopters which are used by the US Army. These include the CH-47 Chinook, AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk and the OH-58 Kiowa. You will learn in the classroom how to read flight maps and other tactical planning and strategies. You will also learn in the helicopter about how to handle combat situations.
