Map Out Your Career as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant

The Special Forces are teams of individuals who specialize in completing missions around the world in a variety of unforgiving conditions. The work they will do is often without any contact with outside forces. As such, the unit needs to be able to complete analysis of situations so that they can create the plan as to how to move forward. It is the duty of the Special Forces Engineer Sergeant in the US Army to use their skills to create more effective mission plans.

Extensive Training

To properly carry out your mission you will have to undergo 44 weeks of advanced training. You will learn through formal classroom training as well as through training exercises. You will learn bomb and mine disposal, how to handle explosives, use of communication devices, and use of land warfare weapons. You will also undergo training in scuba diving, swimming, parachuting and physical training.

Importance of Your Mission

Not only is your role important because of the tasks you will be completing while in the field. Your mission is also important because of the training and instruction you will provide to others in your unit. You will be responsible for training others as to the best way to take down large buildings and other structures through properly placed ordnance among other things.
