Filling a Need as an OH-58D Helicopter Repairer

There are many different ways ground troops are threatened when they operate in different arenas. These threats can come from the ground as well as from the air. While the troops are trained to be able to handle most any situation, there are times when it is impossible to take on certain elements. This is when it is important that helicopters like the OH-58D is able to intercept opposition forces and aide those on the ground. The helicopters must always be maintained and in good operational condition.

Getting Trained

You will be given the proper amount of training in order to make sure that you understand how to properly maintain and repair the OH-58D helicopter. You will also receive basic military training so that you will not be caught unaware if you are asked to operate in a hostile environment. Your training will continue in advanced training so that you will understand the specifics of the helicopter including how to run diagnostics and how to repair the helicopter completely.

Getting the Job

In order to get the job you will have to score correctly on the ASVAB. They are looking to make sure that you have mechanical skills already and that you have the ability to understand the mechanics that you will be working with.
