It is always sad to have a veteran die especially in the case of Retired Col. Robert B. Nett who died at age 86. Retired Col. Robert B. Nett was a man who received the World War II Medal of Honor and even had a hall named after him which had the Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame within its walls. Retired Col. Robert B. Nett died on October 19th 2008 after being sick for a short period of time. Retired Col. Robert B. Nett truly led an amazing and inspirational life and is a great example for soldiers or army lovers across the United States of America. The funeral for Retired Col. Robert B. Nett will take place at the Fort Benning Cemetery on October 23rd and 10 a.m. and will also be followed by a grave side service. This amazing and looked-up to man started his army career in 1940. He was truly a symbol of what an amazing soldier could do or be and will be known throughout history for what he accomplished and his life. In addition, he will live on in the hearts of the people who knew him, loved him and look up to him.
