Wounded Warrior Dinner

Many times there is nothing more enjoyable then getting to sit down and have dinner without worry or have a great time with people that you know. Some of our wounded soldier where given a chance to do just that. Approximately five years ago Hal Koster starter providing free steak dinners for injured or wounded troops that where returning from their service. He did this at his Fran O’Brien’s Stadium Steak House up until 2006. Now it takes place in multiple locations including Capital Hill Club that has these dinners for wounded warriors monthly. These dinners have also been hosted by the Australian, Italian, and other embassies. The sight of a Walter Reed Medical Center bus pulling up to the club is something that any person can imagine, but what many may not be able to be the joy of the people who got to spend time together and more. This is a time where not only did many of these wounded warriors get to spend time with family members but they also got to spend time with one another, know that they are not alone and get to share all types of stories about their experiences and more.
