Want to Start Your Own Business? The U.S. Army is Ready to Invest.

You’ve thought about joining the army before, but you don’t think you want a lifelong career as a soldier.

You probably have other dreams and ambitions you want to pursue. You thought you might start your own business. Maybe you’ll open a store online or start a “brick-and-mortar” business as a mechanic or a shop owner or a computer engineer.

The truth is, in today’s economy, you’re going to have a hard time finding a bank or a venture capitalist willing to invest in your idea.

Don’t worry, though – the U.S. Army can fund your future business.

Let the U.S. Army Invest in Your Future Business. Starting a business costs a lot of money, and most people don’t have thousands of dollars in a savings account ready to go. Serving in the U.S. Army is one of the best ways to earn that nest egg without losing or having to spend any of it on daily expenses.

Let’s start with your enlistment bonus. The Army is the only branch of the U.S. Military that offers up to the maximum allowance for enlistment – $40,000. Think you can start a business with an investment like that? So do we.

The U.S. Army offers one of the highest entry-level salaries in the United States today, above and beyond most equivalent civilian jobs. The higher your rank and the longer you’ve served, the higher your salary.

High Salary – Cost of Benefits = a Huge Investment for Your Business. A high salary wouldn’t do you much good if you had to keep spending it on necessities like groceries, rent and health care. If you earn $20,000 at a civilian job, you’ll spend half of it on housing, another third of it on health care and hopefully the last little bit of it will pay for your food. Forget about child care – you can’t afford it.

With the U.S. Army job, you won’t have to pay for any of those things. If you earn $20,000, you’ve earned $20,000. Your living expenses are all taken care of, as are your health care and child care. You can spend that $20,000 on anything you like – including your future business.

For health care alone, a family plan can cost up to $10,000. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the average Active Duty service member in the U.S. Army received compensations worth $99,000. That’s nearly $100,000 that you’ve saved – and can now put into your entrepreneurial business.

By the time you finish your tour in the U.S. Army, you’ll have had the opportunity to save up tens of thousands of dollars to start that business. If you’re looking for someone to invest in your idea, the U.S. Army’s got your back.
