Will the army accept you?
As an enormously large and major branch of the US Military, you can be in no doubt that, the US Army will extend a wide open-arm welcome to you. Of course, you’ll need to be between the ages of 17 and 34 years; be a US citizen or green card holder; have a high school diploma or equivalent at the minimum; have no more than two children; and be in great physical shape, without any communicable diseases or performance-affecting, health issues.
What basic careers does the army offer?
The US Army offers an endless number of career and job opportunities to its members, brief descriptions of a few of which are given below.
Administrative jobs – The US Army offers a huge variety of administrative jobs, which, in turn, support many other critical job areas of its operation. As such, for example, you can train for a career as a specialist in accounts and finance; general office administration; human resources; combat support documentation; and a lot more.
Computers and IT – Significant number of computer and IT-related careers are offered by the US Army, perfectly suited for computer buffs. If you count yourself among them, the US Army can help you gain extensive knowledge and experience in such career fields, for example, radio operation; imagery and intelligence analysis; linguistic specialization in cryptology; network systems operation; and a lot more.
Engineering and construction – This area constitutes a significant part of the US Army operation resulting in the creation of a huge variety of jobs, among them, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, mechanical engineering, and more.
