Jobs aplenty and up for grabs
Fortunately, the US Army presents a different, yet hopeful picture. That’s because this is one place where you won’t need to fight for jobs … there’s plenty of them to go around … and they’re recession proof.
So, if you are skilled but unemployed; have a job that stands on shaky grounds; not sure whether or not you’ll be receiving the usual paycheck, or pay cut; or worried about being laid off … lean back and smile … the US Army has an endless number and variety of jobs up for grabs, and you’ll be more than welcome to go for one.
Job Enlistment was never so easy
Unlike bygone years, the internet has made army job searches as easy as 1-2-3. The military has a network of legitimate, US Army recruiters who have their own websites. Take time out to visit some of these sites, and review the comprehensive lists of US Army jobs that they feature. Most sites also specify the minimum ASVAB test scores needed to qualify for enlistment, and also provide useful information to help you find a job. The sites are generally user-friendly, and answers to questions responded to swiftly.
The basic requisites aren’t a hurdle
Like all other branches of the military, the US Army has a set of minimum requirements that job applicants must meet. However, the requirements will vary according to the position you’re applying for, and current enlistment rules of the particular military branch involved.
In general, you’ll need to be between 17 and 34 years of age; a certified US citizen; possess sound physical and mental health; have a high school diploma as the minimum academic qualification; and have no more than 2 children, if you’re married.
Bag a military job, and you won’t look back. What’s more, when you return to the civilian job market, you won’t just be in demand … you’ll be the center of attraction!
