Army Bonuses – Another Good Reason to Join

There are many different reasons why people wish to join the US Army, or why active-duty personnel did so. While a majority of both groups sign up out of a sense of national duty and pride, rather than only monetary considerations, an equal number enlist because the US Army offers a vast number of job opportunities to build great careers.

Another good reason to join the US Army is the many types of attractive, enlistment bonuses that the army has on offer. These bonuses are in addition to the normal benefits and ‘special-duty’ pay, and are offered to an exclusive, group of people who become eligible to them at the time of enlistment.

Bonuses for the extra-educated

The US Army offers excellent, enlistment bonuses to those that possess good academic qualifications. For example, a bonus of $8000 is what you could be eligible for, if you possess a bachelor or equivalent 4-year college degree. You’d also be eligible for a bonus of $7000, if you possess a 2-year, or ‘associates level’ degree.

Bonuses for the extra-skilled

Here’s another attractive bonus scheme which the US Army offers qualified enlisted personnel who possess specialized, civilian skills. For example, people who fall in this category, and who would be eligible to these bonuses include animal care specialists, foreign language translators, people with multi lingual skills, interpreters, etc. While the extent of bonus could range from a low of $5000 to a high of $15000+, the specific bonus values that they would be eligible to would depend on the type of skills they possess, and which are of particular use to, and demand by the US Army.

The US Army takes extra special care of their personnel, and such attractive enlistment bonus incentives are a demonstration of that commitment.
