Army Life – Perhaps, Not What You Thought

When you choose a career in the US Army, you come with hopes, dreams and expectations … all your own. Well, if you’ve done your homework, good for you. This way, you’ll know just what to expect. If you haven’t, don’t leave home without it. However, army life isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. After all, if these two incentives won’t convince you, what will?

An eventful lifestyle

Apart from the tough and grueling ‘boot camp’ training, routine daily tasks, and other specialty training programs, the US Army makes sure their men and women have great after-work lifestyles, too.

So, contrary to what you may have thought, an army lifestyle, especially during peacetime, is as exciting and eventful as any civilian lifestyle you may be used to. For example, if you’re fortunate enough to live on an Army Post, you can enjoy a lifestyle with such attractions as – movie theaters; fitness centers and gyms; swimming pools; multi-product shopping at PX and commissaries; bowling alleys; tennis courts; golf courses; clubs, bars; restaurants; and a lot, lot more.

Generous paychecks

Depending on your rank and seniority, the US Army offers generous paychecks. And because your job is backed by the US Government, your pay check will be regular, and the only way they can go, is UP. Of course with your paycheck, you’ll also receive good nutrition; comfortable housing; comprehensive healthcare; substantial financial aid for education; attractive bonuses; paid vacations; useful retirement plans; and a lot more.
