Major duties. The PATRIOT launching station enhanced operator/maintainer supervises or serves as a member of a PATRIOT Air Defense weapons system or as a member of an Air Defense activity engaged in operations, intelligence or liaison functions.
(1) Skill Level 1. Operates and performs preventive maintenance checks and services on vehicles. Operates a 10-ton crane. Engage hostile targets with the PATRIOT weapon. Perform checks and adjustments and loads the M60 Machine Gun. Perform emplacement, march orders and preventive maintenance checks and services on the Radar Set, the Engagement Control Station, the Guided Missile Transporter, the Launching Station and the Guided Missile Canister. Emplaces and march order the Battalion Tactical Operations Center. Load/reloads PATRIOT missiles.
(2) Skill Level 2. Performs duties in preceding skill level, supervises lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Conducts Reconnaissance, Selection, and Occupation of Position. Collect, prepare, and process operations and intelligence information Prepare situation report and warning order.

(3) Skill Level 3. Performs duties in preceding skill levels. Supervises the operations and organizational level system maintenance on the LS, ELES, LSTS, and PATRIOT Missile Round and associated equipment. Enforces safety procedures and standards. Supervises and participates in unit level training and training management. Performs operations and intelligence duties and serves as unit liaison, Supervises operations of tactical communications.
(4)Skill Level 4. Performs duties in preceding skill levels and monitors installation, operations and organizational level maintenance on the LS Platoon equipment. Provides technical training and guidance to subordinate personnel. Directs, instructs and evaluates tactical operating procedures. Supervises operations and intelligence functions. Trains evaluates and certifies PATRIOT LS Crews in AD table training crewdrills at unit/battalion level. Supervises operations and intelligence functions. Assists in supervising maintenance records and demand supported/diagnostics repair parts stockage procedures. Assist in designing and implementing the unit maintenance program.
